Kerry Russell is in the process of creating a new product for her list members on how to be more effective as joint venture partners in Giveaway events.  Her’s isn’t the only possible model, but it is a good one that will open some people’s eyes about how to make these events worthwhile to participate in as a contributor.

The Halloween Giveaway event is now open for downloads. Once again Guido Nussbaum has gathered a huge array of exceptional offerings for this event. The addition of Stephanie Mulac to the sponsorship of this event has supercharged the event.

As my regular readers of this blog now, Stephanie has lead the way in terms of innovation and style in the Giveaway arena over the past year. I think you will see the results in the quality of products available to you for free in this event.

Word to the wise. Don’t get greedy. Pick items you can use and/or know you want to have in your tool box. There is a lot to choose from, just like too Halloween candy, you can get sick from too much. Don’t fill your hard drive with more stuff than you can safely digest.

Then once you have downloaded your picks, read them and profit from them. Don’t let them get stale.

The Epic Giveaway is now open with an Epic selection of quality gifts free for the taking. It runs just 10 days and will close on October 21, so be sure to get there now, and find an item or two that you can use.

Remember, the best practice is to pick 1-5 products and then use them. Too many people sweep in and download everything in sight, but never use a tenth of it. Be selective and choose things you are going to use.

Jeff Baxter and Alex Makarski  are hosting a new giveaway starting on May 20th at 3PM CDT and running until May 31st.  In as much as this is a new giveaway, I did not upgrade but that may have been a mistake. They offer two upgrade options, one at $17 and if you don’t take that another at $10. So the upgrade is not very expensive and may result in a nice high ranking for your gifts.  This in turn should dramatically increase your opt ins and that is what this is all about.

The Easter Giveaway is in its fourth year and is one of the biggies. Already over 500 contributors have signed up, and some are suggesting it may go as high as 1000 by the time it launches.

When you sign up as a contributor there are a few things you should know about this event. It will be big, so you do want to consider the upgrades. There are three options which include some significant products to make them worthwhile. You will be pitched the most expensive first and then two less expensive options. The least expensive is the “Silver” level at $37.

Each of the upgrade levels include significant products and points that will not only allow you to post more products, they will help you get better visibility for your products.

If you don’t take any of the upgrades, you will discover that you need to have 15 points to post a gift in the event. Now you can get 10 of the 15 just for confirming your email address, but you will need to either buy in and or recruit members or contributors to earn points to post. A new member gets you 1 point, A new contributor gets you 3, if anyone you sign up, upgrades you get 10 points.

Its also possible to buy points from inside the event. You won’t get any of the products that are offered in the one time offer, but for $17 you can get 20 points which with your 10 points for confirming your email puts you in position to offer 2 gifts. This is the route I think many people will take.

If you can afford it, and/or like the products offered, definately grab the upgrades, if not, you can always limp in for free and recruit new contributors, just 2 new contributors and you are in free. If all else fails buy the extra points for $17 and participate that way.

This event will be well promoted. If you have a product with appeal you will get a lot of takers.

Odinn Sorensen’s Daddy’s Birthday GiveAway opens soon.

The event launches Tuesday February 17th, 10:00 AM EST and closes it’s doors Tuesday March 3rd, 10:00 AM EST.

Odinn is running the event on his own software which he will be bringing to market soon.

People I know had great success with Odinn’s event last year.  I balked at the higher cost of his one time offer.  You do get preferential placement, and the chance to offer four products.  So you may want to take wing at it. My guess is that you will get very good placement as I suspect there will be a few more cheapskates that are willing to risk $10-$20 on an upgrade but not a lot more particularly for a relatively short event.
